Angela Petrelli's two sons have always had their talents -- credits to the family name. She loves them both very much.

(Peter, the younger, has always been her favorite. Even if she's not supposed to have favorites.)

They're making their way in the world, even if they seem to define success in different ways.

(She's got the chance to be the mother of a congressman, if Nathan can keep it together until the election.)

It's been less than a year since her husband died, and less than a year since the car accident that left her daughter-in-law in a wheelchair. Life has been hard for the Petrelli clan lately, and all signs point to things not getting any easier any time soon.

(You have to know how to read the writing on the wall.)

Angela Petrelli grieved -- grieves -- for her husband. They were married for a long time. But things are changing, and she has to be prepared to handle it.

(Since her sons, as much as she loves them, are clueless.)

Angela Petrelli has never been a particularly warm woman. She can't afford to start being one now. There are forces at work in the world that mean her and hers harm, and she cannot falter if she wants to protect what she still has.

Of course, that was then; this is now. Angela Petrelli has found the need to remove herself from the country.

Paris is a lovely city, even under these circumstances. There's a reason she regards it as her second home.

She'll find herself in a place in this city she doesn't know -- a bar -- soon enough.

She favors well-tailored suits and dresses in dark colors, accompanied always by high heels. Her personal sartorial aesthetic is very much informed by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Mrs. Petrelli, like her sons, has dark hair and dark eyes, and appears to be somewhere in her late fifties. She is not one with whom to trifle. Her tongue is sharp; her wits are sharper.
